David Ellison reportedly told Trump he’d make “sweeping changes” to CNN if Paramount’s takeover of Warner Bros. gets approved.

Meanwhile, Jared Kushner and three Middle East countries are backing the bid — while Kushner advises Trump on foreign policy.

it is actually kind of bananas how unitary executive theorists have taken a straightforward clause requiring the president to "faithfully execute the laws" and transformed it into a grant for the exercise of limitless unenumerated power.
The Take Care Clause was a byproduct of the lessons learned from the Glorious Revolution that the executive should not be able to dispense with the law promulgated by the legislature. It was not a constitutional provision to empower the executive branch— but to constrain it!

Rand Paul: Voice of reason.
That's how far the GOP has fallen.
Rand Paul: "This is an insane policy. It's inconsistent. It's not war. It's not the way we've ever done this. If we can blow up a boat in the ocean, what about when they get to Miami & put it in a truck? Can you shoot a grenade launcher at the truck? No! We arrest people b/c sometimes we're wrong."

The U.S. is mirroring a pattern that has happened in authoritarian regimes around the world. When a government erects barriers to reproductive care, it doesn’t just cause death and suffering for women and their families. Such policies are often a first step in the gradual decline of democracies.

Then it all falls apart. The only thing protecting the Republican Party was the fairy tale that they are normal, a regular political party."

It's important to understand that fascism is rooted in machismo, the desperate need for the insecure to prove their masculinity because they're failures at everything else.

You just don't usually see it on display at the highest levels of government like this because it's embarrassing.
Wild that the Secretary of Transportation is out here pretending pull-ups are policy while the rest of us are just trying to make sure bridges don’t collapse and planes don’t fall out of the sky.

A majority of the Supreme Court today appeared ready to back President Donald Trump’s argument that he should be able to fire members of independent agencies that for nearly a century have been protected from presidential politics.

Gonna be amazing when the Democratic president in 2029 moves to fire all of Trump's people and the Republican Justices suddenly discover that they don't believe in the absolute power of the president to fire anyone after all.
unitarya executive theory presents the president as the sovereign embodiment of the people’s will. a sovereign cannot be divided against itself, and thus an agency cannot be independent of his will.

Not the first to point this out but all these years of anger from the left but it wasn't until the right got mad at her that the terrorism started.

When this is over, and it WILL be over, we have to root out right wing terrorism in America the way the GOP is pretending to root out Antifa.
Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) now claims she and her family received pipe-bomb threats and death threats after Donald Trump labeled her a “traitor.”
Political threats are always serious — they must be investigated.
But across the U.S., people are rejecting her sudden “victim” narrative.
