Every corner, every city
There's a place where life's a little easy
Little Hennessy, laid back and cool
Every hour, 'cause it's all good
Leave all the stress from the world outside
Every wrong done will be alright
Nothing but peace, love, and street passion
Every ghetto needs a thug mansion

Awesome to see the interview with the Xhekajs' parents.

This should be a huge story in Hamilton. These kids came from immigrant parents and grew up in less-than-affluent area of the city. But many helped out. A great story.

Loved watching them with the Bulldogs, too!

My god the #Leafs look pathetic.
Just getting walked for a whole period.

No heart, no toughness, no will.
And, no Marner.

Not only is Matthew Schaefer, an 18 year old, out in the ice for the Islanders as they try and tie it up (and is getting Olympic considerations), Florian Xhekaj will be playing up with bro Arber for the #Habs tonight.
All 3 are from #HamOnt.

Amazingly, our hockey-city of 600k doesn't have a team.

This is WELL worth the watch.
Many of the themes that sparked the Winnipeg General Strike feel very similar to what we're dealing with today.

(Could see this happening at any moment in Alberta these days.)
The Winnipeg General Strike was the largest strike in Canadian history.
For five weeks in 1919, 30,000 workers brought Winnipeg to a halt.
The strike changed Canadian history forever.
This is the story of that strike.

Nice to see #VanierCup on today! Great game so far.

Still kinda blows me away that the Grey Cup and Vanier Cup consist of teams from the same cities!

Does anyone else wish the #NHL would go back to realistically sized logos at centre ice?

Something nice about the more subtle, supportive design approach. And seeing the puck is nice too.

⚠️ URGENT UPDATE: Premier Danielle Smith has now used the Notwithstanding Clause TWICE.

First to force teachers back to work with Bill 2.
Now to override trans rights through Bill 9.

It violates rights, sidesteps the courts, and puts everyone’s protections at risk.

This is what's at stake.

The UCP is not only dodging its responsibility to explain how Bill 9 is in any way proportionate or justifiable in a free and democratic society.

They are putting children at far greater risk of suicide.
State-level anti-transgender laws increased incidents of past-year suicide attempts among trans and nonbinary young people by 7–72%

Was just stunned as I browsed the ground beef and saw my .5kg package was $11.
I see Empire, Longos parent company, had a $.544 billion increase in sales in 2025 and adjusted profit of 8.8%.

Food crisis numbers, I guess.
From the Loblaw website:

2025 3RD QTR HIGHLIGHTS

Revenue was $19,395 million, an increase of $857 million, or 4.6%.
Food Retail (Loblaw) sales were $13,588 million, an increase of 4.8%, and same-store sales increased by 2.0%.

Will government and conservatives, in particular, ever recognize this?

Now he's rationalizing the murder and dismemberment of journalist.
Never forget that THIS is who Americans democratically elected. Unbelievable. Fall of an empire in real time.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

This @thespec1846.bsky.social article claims the narrow passing of the budget shows "Carney is still a political rookie". I beg to differ.
The other 2 parties are in shambles. An election would've resulted in a massive majority.
