A bit niche, but a local resident has just launched a website to let you know/report whether the Greenwich Foot tunnel lifts are working www.greenwichlifts.co.uk

Walthamstow there's a fire at Wood Street Station and by the sounds of it, its a major one involving one of the businesses under the station. Please avoid the area if you can to help give the fire service maximum access and will update as soon as I have confirmed details as to what has happened.

Today, our article "The entities enabling scientific fraud at scale are large, resilient, and growing rapidly" is finally published in PNAS. I hope that it proves to be a wake-up-call for the whole scientific community.

I’m petrified about today’s science news. Genetically modifying crabs to have cheetah genes? This could go sideways fast.

Thank you to Derek of the @riverroding.bsky.social Riber Roding Trust for a fantastic guided walk from Debden to Wanstead Park today. Opened up whole areas of green East London I didn’t know existed. Plus some epic nettles.

Aargh.

Microsoft touts Power Automate as a low code/no code solution for creating automations.

it’s no such thing. All actual work of the flow simply gets wrapped into stupidly complex and hard to understand functions.

Ironically the old on-prem Sharepoint workflows really were low code. Sad
