What a bullshit headline / summary.

My dudes this guy just spews that it's all a lie and everything is awesome, and that will not change. Just because someone on his PR staff told him he has to go on tour to spew more bullshit about it doesn't mean he's 'addressing' it. ffs.

omg yes.

A sizable portion of my job is running around asking 'dumb' questions and/or pointing at things and very loudly asking 'Why?'
Favorite positive comment from my 6 month review:
“Willing to ask ‘dumb’ questions.”

Part of the staff+ role is being comfortable asking the question everyone is thinking but is afraid to say because it might sound dumb. Or the question that challenges some basic idea everyone assumes is correct.

OH: “Do you just want a login? Or do you prefer to just raw dog the ads?”

Nothing makes me feel like an old like hearing the phrase “raw dogging the ads”

I think any story about Trump's autocracy should be mostly about the people and institutions who failed to stop it. This guy isn't a political genius, everything else just happens to be rotten. 'Toddler Consolidates Power In Household' is a story about incompetent parents, not shrewd maneuvering

I used to play a whole lot of guitar.

After finishing Dave Grohls memoir I’ve been eyeing my local music shop and today picked up this pretty thing.

I still had some pedals in my basement, including my loop back - and I found several tracks I recorded still on it from *20 years ago*

Surreal.

Rather than asking open source maintainers if they would do something, consider just doing as much as you can yourself and only then asking them for help.

Before you say "but I don't know the language/codebase/ecosystem": none of the maintainers were born with this knowledge either.

Coding agents have really improved my self esteem. It used to be that I'd get mad at myself when I couldn't get my code to work. Now I get mad at the computer when it can't get my code to work.
