One of the consistently frustrating things with the WB IT adaptations is they will have a genuinely unsettling moment but ultimately can't hold themselves back from escalating it into cartoonish farce.

the thing that actually annoys me about this is that in final fantasy vii it shouldn’t be yellow paint it should be a giant floating hand pointing at you and green arrows over where to go
