For posterity, since I seem to forget a lot, the scene I was talking about (to myself) is #bunheads Season 1 (how sad that there was only one season) Episode 16 around the 36 minute mark.

Question (for like my one follower) : does anyone have good examples of ELEGANT code that was #AI-generated or #vibe-coded?

See, this is the sort of thing that makes me question modern journalism.

Quick, how much will ten of these cost? Hint: the answer is NOT eight dollars.

I think #Delta is literally loading this plane in the least efficient manner imaginable. Front to back, aisle then window. Now we have people moving two directions for overhead space. It's would be impressive if you tried to do it this precisely.

If I haven't said this on @bsky.app before, The Woz is my hero (tho I can't really confirm if he has an account here). Also he happened to be in the news today: gizmodo.com/steve-woznia...

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

I just... #SQLServer should not let you have a table definition where a column name is just a carriage return. #no

It dissipated a lot by the time I got my camera out, but I'd you fling #macaroni powder into a ray of sunlight it's actually quite #beautiful.

Have I complained about Azure Data Factory ever? Probably not - I quit using SSIS years ago. But here... here's a dynamic parameter for generating a table name. What's wrong with it? There's a TRAILING `\n` THAT YOU CAN'T SEE BUT IT NOW TRIES TO WRITE TO A TABLE NOW WITH A LINE FEED IN THE NAME.

This both makes me feel #old and #sad. I <3 physical media, and I SUPER LOVED my first BluRay writeable drive. I admit I don't really use it any more, but I do have stacks of disks to go through for my personal archaeology. www.tomshardware.com/pc-component...

Is there a tag for weird or bad #requirements, particularly those that come from actual #PMs? The hour long meeting we recently had included the gem "... should be greyed out in " was found to mean "not literally greyed out" and in situations that can never occur. *sigh*

Having watched Minions about 20 times in the last 40 days (it's kiddo's new favorite), guess what the Netflix #algorithm thinks we should watch?

I actually don't hate it. It's like gift wrapping for code. I mean I'd hate to write it but it's not horrid to read if you have to like teach code.

Love this thread. I loved my Atari 2600 when I was a child. My high school Commodore-128. Nintendo-64 and PC gaming in College. Wii with a kid. Xbox when I had a teenager. My wife's PS4. And looking forward to what li'l baby gets into! Every era can be magical! But I get the #nostalgia #age bias.
hate to be that person who makes everything about games but i DEFINITELY see this trend in games as well. so many people incapable of even considering the possibility that maybe part of the reason the games of their youth seem so magical and superior to everything since is BECAUSE THEY WERE YOUNG!
