I don't like passing because for trans women at least to me it implicitly makes a divide between either “looks like a man” or “looks like a tranny” and “looks like a real (cis women)”.

No amount of fancy words nor praxis can change the fact that it is me, myself and I.
I don't get the benefit of having others. I can't retreat back to a place where I can be comforted and have my wounds licked. I am back to my lonesome, aware that any amount of connection I share can easily be destroyed on a whim.

To feel equal is so alien. Like I'm so used to assuming I'm more worthy of critique and speculation by nature of who I am. I can't escape it, I just have to accept it and nod and smile.
I'm so scared to talk about how I experience transness. I feel like I'm on a precarious edge, teetering on a line that if I fall off I'll lose all the grace I've been given. It's so terrifying. I honestly want to make another account just to do it

Watched this go down on Tumblr, I saw the original posts and didn't want to reply because I don't have much personal stake in Indian transfeminized communities but happy to see her arse get taken down by those who are
So the best part is I've blocked her and she's 100% aware of me and my work, so she--someone who admits to knowing nothing about my culture--is basically calling me racist for talking about the oppression of transfeminized populatoins in India.

It was brought up in another discussion eons ago but that it's also very taxing being trans because you essentially have to learn a PhD in endocrinology, a 3rd dan in administrative procedures, a law degree in anti-discrimination texts and an extremely deeps understanding of gender theory

Also, I’m just gonna say that it’s REALLY easy to frame any anti-rape politics as inherently carceral if you believe the only way that anyone will ever combat sexual violence is through the state.
Saw someone saying that we’re entering a new era of puritanical attitudes towards sex and then she said “they’re gonna start saying that if you regret having sex with someone, it counts as non-consensual!” and I just don’t think that puritanical attitudes towards sex ever gave a fuck about consent.
