I like pies generally, but there is too much room for error on the crusts. Apple pies can be very good, and also terrible if you the top crust is too dense and the apples too soggy

It’s a self-reinforcing pathology, for sure, but the problem is that the economy is genuinely quite bad now for young people and and guess who makes and consumes a good amount of this content
boy there seems to be a bottomless appetite for dogmatic economic pessimism on video platforms. clicked on one of those during the morning Zwift and now my youtube feed is WE'RE DOOMED re the stock market, jobs, car market, inflation, AI on and on

I’m not always in agreement with some of his votes, but the admin coming for Mark Kelly is an extremely stupid thing to do. There are things bigger than electoral politics, but if they wanted to turn this state into solid blue one, hard to imagine a better way than everything they’re doing

If Democrats win a trifecta in Arizona next year (which is entirely possible), they might as well add two more seats to the AZ Supreme Court, for a total of nine. They can then restore a liberal majority (after replacing one Republican justice who must retire in 2027 anyway due to age limits).

The subject was revisited by Norman Rockwell in 1954, with a starker contrast between the generations, fewer heartstrings, and much more optimism.

Rockwell's painting was also hugely popular. Like Hovenden's take, it was widely reproduced, and got the movie treatment too.
