A prohibition movement ready to make weed de facto illegal again seems like it’ll be ready to roll again in the future, but it seems like it’d be a death by a thousand cuts type situation, in lieu of the very long odds of outright making it illegal again in legal states

They cut a trillion dollars out of Medicaid this year and the most charitable interpretation you can offer is that they genuinely do believe it’s wasteful and they don’t know it’s mostly their constituents who get it

I think the states where it’s fully legal don’t want other states where it isn’t cutting into their market. And then there are the conservatives who still think none of this shit should be legal as a matter of principle. @snowden.st can educate us all though

What he doesn’t want to say but is plainly obvious is Democrats will lose the subsequent ACA vote and Democrats would rather that happen so the president takes the blame. I’m not even against that as a strategy on a pure political level, but all the other language round it is maddening
