A group I volunteer with is trying to buy out a neighbor selling chicken chuchitos (a Guatemalan tamale with red sauce) tomorrow. I’m thinking of placing a big order to take to Nighthawk for the whistle event. Would anyone want to chip in? You can pick them up at Nighthawk or enjoy them there.

One thing the NYC mayoral race underscored for me is how easily the phrase "I don't feel safe" can be weaponized. It's an argument I would hesitate ever to use again, even for a good cause. I hope we can all agree that we have the right to BE safe. Maybe we should leave it at that.
