I'm procrastinating HARD this morning, so...here's All Saints Episcopal Church, the oldest oldest wood-frame church in the city. I get all googly-eyed every time I find myself at the corner of Wilson and Hermitage in Ravenswood.

Today we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., one of the greatest Americans to ever live. Here is art I recently made for @6figga-dilla.bsky.social of the iconic photo of Dr. King shooting pool on the West Side of Chicago in 1966, created in the style that Dr. Margaret Burroughs used in her art.

Today's snow made me remember this winter scene that I illustrated for UChicago's Martin Marty Center near the end of last year.

Portage Park is undefeated when it comes to having THE WORST pop-top bungalows in the city of Chicago. What in the actual f*ck is going on here?

Join us for our annual open house tonight! Presses are running, prints and cards are for sale, and we’ve got snacks. The metal type shown here (reversed) is Pastel, designed and cast in Chicago and made popular by silent film intertitles. #letterpress

Today's the day, 11-3, 11137 S Langley! Exit your home and visit the PullmanArts Holiday Market.

The gallery is warm, we have a great variety of locally made stuff, and it won't be as crowded as this photo from our spring market because we didn't cram too many vendors into the space this time.

Anyone know anything about these bungalow-ish churches on the NW side? I randomly drove by one a few weeks ago, and then saw another similar one a few days ago. cc: @dmercer.bsky.social @ladytophamcatt.bsky.social @tudoraf.bsky.social

My dad showed me this today and acted all surprised when I didn't remember it from when I was probably four years old (almost 40 years ago). Check it out @ladytophamcatt.bsky.social

The current political climate and ICE enforcement threats have heavily impacted street vendors, keeping many from working and leaving families without income. A single day without sales means no money for rent, food, medicine, or childcare. (1/3)

New work: We have a vibrant and rich history of sign making, and it is the Chicago Sign Museum's mission to keep these remaining legacy signs in the Chicago area for cultural and educational purposes through ongoing advocacy efforts. Proceeds from this print go to supporting those efforts.

Some new work for our friends at the Columbia Yacht Club! The CYC is a site that is open to visits during this weekend's Open House Chicago, and I'd recommend it. I went last year and enjoyed exploring the ship that I have seen docked in the same spot my entire life.
