Young ones don't know, but there was this critical moment in friendship progression where you'd get into the passenger seat and they'd hand you their CD case to pick from

I suspect that a major asset of superhero films in the marvel age vs the Sony age is the fact that the films rely on each other to form a complex narrative. Like, you *can* watch Thor Ragnarok without having seen Age of Ultron, but you get more out of the Hulk's story arc if you do

Had to get a passport-style photo taken at a Walgreens in the US and a weird guy walked past and said "hell yeah white boy you take that picture" and I laughed for a full minute. I can tell I'm still fighting not to laugh in this but it's probably not too obvious right. Do I need to retake this

I know this makes me sound like an old fuddy duddy, but making my favorite animation list makes me realize just how much I miss hand drawn animation. The little imperfections, the warmth, the lines squiggling here and there. You could feel the humanity in every frame. Everything looks so clean now.
