I believe John really liked the record too as he loved funk and it was actually what he would have preferred to have always played at heart. There're some great BITS in the meh songs but they're not consistent.

I'll take British humour and everyday life tbh. Not bad. Though I would have preferred "too eccentric to function"

Very curious album. Queen are my favourites but it's an album about 4 years out of time and while I'm sure lots of it would go down great in the basement of an underground Munich sex disco, it's a rather niche market.
