On this day, 2 years ago. I sat in bed and said to myself, 'Why haven't you finally made that compilation of Jim McDonald from Coronation Street, absolutely battering people to Motörhead? So I did.'

Enjoy! It will forever be my greatest contribution to society.

Nothing to see here...

Just Kevin Webster from Coronation Street punching anything that moves to the sound of The Beastie Boys.

Enjoy your evening!

I'm watching 'Top Ten: Prog Rock' (Channel 4, 2000) and had to properly double take when Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull popped up as I thought it was Bryan Cranston as Walter White.

Has anyone seen them in the same room together? Play the flute, wear a codpiece, cook meth. All in a day's work.

If you want an example of how entertaining the delightfully dry John Virgo was, he made Jim Davidson almost tolerable for 30 minutes a week. Something the Generation Game couldn't accomplish. Now that's something he can barter with at the gates of St. Peter. Well done John.

The Channel 5 karaoke game show Night Fever (97-02) is a real rolodex of celebrities you forgot about, and celebrities you're amazed appeared on Night Fever!

Only just heard about Catherine O'Hara.

I mean she was obviously brilliant, but my first thought is always the 'Kevin's not here' bit and her fantastic series of facial expressions before the payoff. Superb!

She would have been on SNL had Michael O'Donaghue not completely freaked her out too.

Something nice about comedy besides trawling the country via public transport to be underpaid, was the occasional interesting folk you'd find in the audience.

One of my favourites was a lady in Manchester sketching the acts as they performed, such as me!

There I am, living my best Mr. Twit life.

I'm watching old episodes of 'The David Essex Showcase' (course you are Ash), and there's a forgotten electropop duo called Miro Miroe.

What I'm saying is, I think we've found the ULTIMATE 80's haircut. Take a look at the barnet on this lad!

It's been two years since we sadly lost the great Neil Kulkarni.

I sadly never met him (we had mutuals), but a few years ago when I was extremely unwell, Neil would regularly reach out privately with encouragement.

Here's the letter he wrote to Melody Maker that got him hired. It's brilliant!

Liz Truss there, looking like the kid from school who goes on an American holiday during the half-term and comes back doing a pretend accent for about two weeks.
