The main differences so far are the eyes, the brow, the build, and kinda how the fur is drawn/modeled. Similar to the Mario movie, the design seems to be mixing both classic arcade and Rare Donkey Kong’s designs.
It does allow him to be more expressive, gotta say.

Yeah people are just having a field day with Donkey Kong’s design in the new Mario Kart for Switch 2. But seems pretty apparent Nintendo has been distancing further from the Rare design that’s been used for so long and making him resemble more his pre-Rare look.

I moved on to Shrek 2 and instead of watching Shrek the Third I decided to watch Puss in Boots The Last Wish. Shrek 2 is a massive step up from Shrek 1 but Last Wish is so good that it might just be in my top 5 animated movies of all time. It isn't even close.

I also rewatched the Super Mario Bros Movie!
Yep, still awesome, and still the best video game movie. The licensed music is still kinda a pain point, but the look and feel of is what makes me appreciate this movie a lot, as it is truly a video game movie.
