Baby Waluigi Debut: Mario Tennis Fever Attack: Waluigi Pinbrawl Super Spike: Getting Tilted Type: Defensive Speed: 2/10 Power: 3/10 Pass: 10/10 Spike: 7/10 It seems that even as a little tyke, Waluigi was a trickster. Determined to take the Spikers League championship for himself, he's hijacked an animatronic from Waluigi Pinball to play for him! As you can imagine, those long limbs allow him to reach around the court and save a ball from practically anywhere! His attacks also have a lot of range, but they're not very fast or powerful. The Waluigi Pinbrawl attack has the mech cough up a giant pinball that rolls along the ground and bounces off opponents. He can alternatively hit it with the racket to send it flying with a topspin! His Super Spike, Getting Tilted, launches the ball in a series of pinball bumpers and flippers before the mech finishes with a big strike from its racket!

there should be a Mario game focused on trios rather than duos, if only because it'd lead to some pretty weird combinations and I'd wanna see who the devs make team up. DK, Diddy, and Dixie are really the only "trio" that feels like a no-brainer, along with Bowser, Jr., and Kamek/Dry Bowser

thinking about glitchy Mushroom Kingdom scene in Brothership again, and I still think the part that stands out the most is how Mario's idea of a utopia is Bowser calling a truce and becoming allies with the Mushroom Kingdom. But he knows damn well Bowser is way too far gone for that to ever happen, and it's what actually helps break him free from Reclusa's control.

Mario and Luigi Partners in Time is a good, fun game with a few glaring flaws. The concept, world & themes behind the Shroobs and Time Travel plot are so much fun, and bring in so so much to the Lore of the Mushroom Kingdom that I will always love it for that alone. Playing this back to back after Superstar Saga did make me realize just how different the two are though. As fun as the base game is, two things throw a bit of a wrench into it matching it's predecessor. Adn weirdly enough both boil down to how Bros Moves work. With them being tied to items, and ultimately money (Which you get so much of by the end of the game its ridiculous) it causes a few weird problems. First, there is never once a reason to use basic jump and hammer attacks, and severely nerfs both sets of Bros when they split up since they can't use their full arsenal. Second, because the Bros Moves are so strong and there are so many infinate attacks, every enemy, and especially bosses, becomes a health sponge and takes such a long time. Even with those two things dragging down the combat, its still a M&L game at the end of the day. And while not as great as it's sister games, its still a ton of fun. I would kill to see a Shroob cameo in the Mario Galaxy movie, and I love the lore from this game to death. Next up, Bowser's Inside Story!

Bowser's Inside Story has always been toted as the best Mario and Luigi game, right up there with Superstar Saga. It's been a long time since I've played the OG 3 M&L games, and I can wholeheartedly agree that the sentiment holds true. Bowser is so satisfying to play as, and the Bros are no slouch either. BIS is so much faster paced than it predecessors, but not in a way that detracts from the experience. Fawful and Midbus are such great antagonists, and the finale is just pure perfection. I love this game and always have, so replaying it was such a treat. This is probably the last M&L game I'll play for now, three back to back is a lot, and the idea of replaying Dream Team, Paper Jam and Brothership is a bit more than I want to handle right now, especially with other games I want to play coming out. Unsure if I'll draw something for the 3DS M&L games, but I do have an outline for Brothership drawn, and I'll likely finish that one. I love this series and am so happy I replayed these games!
