The list of Adobe alternatives is all well & good for folks that can put it to use!

But -oofa doofa- it won't do much good for artists/studios whose pipelines are fundamentally built around Flash/Animate and now need to scramble. Decades of art, assets, plugins, etc that *need* the program to work.

Considerably more endeared to 2D Metroid than 3D. Not really an FPS guy - the Primes are solid, distinctly flawed games.

Last year my crewmates at Jellybox wanted me to switch to Harmony for most projects, and I ultimately did - despite being a stubborn mule about it after 15+ years of Flash/Animate.

I can't thank them enough for that push in the right direction in the face of Adobe pulling the plug so damn abruptly.

To ensure a smooth transition, we encourage you to export your Animate FLA and XFL files to other formats such as SWF, SVG, and MP4 files before this date. Customers with a Creative Cloud Pro plan can use other apps to replace some Animate functionality, including Adobe Express Premium for quick creation of animated videos and graphics and Adobe After Effects for more complex keyframe animation using the Puppet tool. All Creative Cloud members can also use free animation presets in Adobe Express to animate text, images, and design elements.

I have never actively used Pinterest in any capacity, but them shooting themselves in the foot for the sake of devolving into yet another doomed slop factory is as good an excuse as any to share this ol' chestnut I made when the site kept clogging up my image searches for references:

I started using Flash in 2008, fresh outta high school on my cheap little Wacom Bamboo.

I proceeded to digitally draw, animate, illustrate, & create almost exclusively in the program for 17+ years.

Here's the first dumpy little toon I ever made with audio from "2 Stupid Dogs."

For 10 platinum coins My Nintendo offers a printable version of the Metroid Prime 4 Switch 2 cover as a PDF for... some reason??

I'd understand if they were offering an alt version without the big ugly text dump on the bottom, but it's just the same cover as retail.
