I gave the first Mega Man a revisit via the Legacy Collection on 3DS.
It is... not fun! Not an ounce of joy to be had, even abusing the collection's save states to dodge needing extra lives.
But I knew that going in - Mega Man rather infamously didn't really find its footing until the second game.

Wouldn't hurt them to diversify looks/physiques of characters though. Almost every new human is some degree of model hot (especially women) and after they included one token unconventional gangly, fat, & short dude in the opening cast they dusted their hands and said "Hwelp, that's enough of that."

As an outside observer who mostly absorbs Overwatch via the cultural osmosis of hot fanart whenever they add a new international hunk, this is funny to see.

I have yet to see an HD2D game that does it for me visually. Pixel art can work splendidly in 3D if you approach it right, but what Square-Enix keeps doing with it has consistently made my eyes seethe with disdain.

I've now made it through every character's Chapter 3.
"Simeon" is apparently an old Biblical name, but the cast all pronounce it like "Simian" and that makes it rather hard to take the character they gave it to seriously.

Considerably more endeared to 2D Metroid than 3D. Not really an FPS guy - the Primes are solid, distinctly flawed games.

ok so 1) this is good, Flash will still be available and files can be accessed, only support will be going away but 2) oh my god what a fast turnaround and they did it quietly with language to tiptoe around them fully fucking up hahha

The list of Adobe alternatives is all well & good for folks that can put it to use!
But -oofa doofa- it won't do much good for artists/studios whose pipelines are fundamentally built around Flash/Animate and now need to scramble. Decades of art, assets, plugins, etc that *need* the program to work.
