Nobody wants this shit. Nobody.

The hostile reaction has been so pronounced, in fact, that it feels like a company announcing it would never force AI into its products would carve out a pretty good chunk of the market.
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Everybody who has ever supported this sick fuck should be banished from polite society, forever. That includes friends, family, children and house pets. Don't even apologize for them. Just eject them from your lives. I have.

Trump’s reported 28-point peace plan would amount to Ukraine’s full capitulation, ISW says.

It mirrors Russia’s 2022 demands and would hand over key territory while offering no guarantees against future aggression, the think tank notes.

ISW: Trump’s reported peace plan is “fundamentally the same as Russia’s 2022 Istanbul demands”
The proposed deal would give Russia vital Ukrainian territory and allow it to conserve resources for future aggression, according to ISW.

It is abhorrent that the President just threatened death upon members of Congress.

We must condemn all threats of political violence, especially when they come from someone who has incited a violent attack on the Capitol.

Just so we’re ALL clear: the President of the United States made death threats toward sitting Democratic members of Congress.

But they’re always claiming Democrats are the dangerous ones, right?

We all know what happened when the press didn't call out that hateful bully in Europe in the 1930s, don't we? Silence normalizes hatred and contempt whether religious, racist, or misogynist.
Honest to god. It’s insanely problematic nobody checks Trump on his misogyny. This creep is the example for how millions of young boys think they should treat girls, and for how millions of young girls think they should be treated. Burn the patriarchy to the ground.

Incredible—according to @talkingpointsmemo.com, Judge Nachmanoff in the Comey case found a DC Circuit opinion almost directly on point that seems to prohibit what Halligan did with the indictment all the way back in 1969!

Of all the terrible things Roberts has done, this was the most shocking stat: "the right-wing majority has used the shadow docket to uphold Trump’s actions roughly 90 percent of the time, repeatedly bailing him out of any obligation to follow the law"
There’s one person squarely to blame for Trump’s corruption, authoritarianism & assault on democracy: John Roberts. He’s enabled so much of Trump’s lawlessness while somehow escaping accountability for it

Trump is not and never will be on the side of fairness, righteousness, and democracy. He needs to be legally removed from governing in any way because he's a danger not only to us but, as we've seen already, to other countries.

Most of the people expected to suffer these temperature-related deaths live in poor countries in Africa and South Asia that are least prepared to cope with the increasing heat from climate change.
