Also, don't engage in rewriting. If something is unclear, that's all they need to know. It's their job to make it clearer.
PRO TIP from someone who has peer reviewed A LOT and submitted papers A LOT lately: your review shouldn’t be so long and nit picky that it’s basically a nightmare for the authors to address your comments.

Reviews should be feasible and constructive.
