They've been around. I used to delete any obvious ones but can't keep up anymore. Seem largely dormant for now. Politics in here are no oxygen so not engaging bullshit. That seems to work reasonably well.

Isn't that the point of conferences? (To the extent of having something to say. I have seen presentations where the presenter seemed to have no real idea of what they were doing and why. And that's not a good picture.)

while we're here: people don't read papers in order, and they usually look at figures first, so try to have the figures tell the whole story.

Also ich hab da irgendwann mal so ein Gruppencoaching mit gemacht. Da ging es primär um die Gesundheit deiner Stimmbänder unter der Dauerbelastung durch Lehre. Das war schon sehr gut und nützlich.

I had one that I'm aware of. They did cite us but basically just copied off entire paragraphs and passed it as theirs. So it's borderline as they cited but still annoying. And it happened to my first paper. 😂
