That's not a "fake debt collecting business," that's a "debt holding business." The difference is negligible but the former implies someone committed fraud. He didn't. His business has the right to hold whatever debts it purchases and may act or not on those debts for whatever reason it chooses.
The actor Michael Sheen used all his money to start a fake debt collecting business, buy 900 people in Wales's debt, and excused it. If Musk bought ALL $194 billion in medical debt in the U.S. and excused it in the same way, he'd still be the world's riches man by hundreds of billions of dollars.

Actor Michael Sheen has bought $1.3 million of his neighbors’ debts and written them off using $129,000 of his own money.

No one follows me on here so I'm going to do a publicist complaint: When I work with people in NY they will send me an email at 6am PT and asked me to reply "within the hour" but if I email them at 6pm I will not hear back until the next morning

I've long said that I think Zuck feels fundamentally uncomfortable as a person; not at ease with people, or in his body, which is something many of us have felt but most of us work through.

We should talk more about how tech billionaires seem to dislike other humans & think we all feel the same

I need someone who is both a ball knower and a fashion knower to make some analogies between creative directors going to new fashion houses and WNBA coaches losing their jobs, something like: The Liberty firing Sandy Bronello is like if Demna got fired after after the Fall 2025 men's runway show

Adding on here that this was true of my publisher as well, but I discovered it a few years ago and made them rectify it
A huge institutional problem that I’ll bet none of us realized was any such thing, exposed in real time
I've seen every single major US publisher named as failing to register copyright (a contractual obligation for my books with Penguin Random House, of which they only registered 4 out of 7, and I expect for all the others too).

In preparation for today’s Super Bowl in New Orleans, state police forced over 100 homeless men and women onto buses under threat of arrest, dumping them in an unheated warehouse. Tents destroyed, belongings lost. Press are barred from the warehouse.

The price tag for this cruelty? $17.5 million
Louisiana coerced unhoused people into an unheated warehouse – and paid $17.5m for it
Dozens of New Orleanians were bused to a site with insufficient heating and blankets days before the city is to host the Super Bowl
