this toby fox quote goes so far. i'm making a new 2d platformer that nobody asked for and my music gets low views on youtube too, but that's not stopping me from trying to make it as awesome as i can! i feel like with enough time, once i release the game, some people might really like it!
honestly i feel you too on that. refraining from experimenting, exploring avenues that people dont expect you for fearing they'll hate your "other sides"
but one mentality that pushed me through that, came from toby fox themself! who said just not care and do it if you think its cool

i think what the ffmpeg twitter deliberately leaves out when they write a snarky quote tweet about rust is there really isnt such a thing as a 'slow language.' slow implementations sure, but its not like theres some inherent property of rust or python that makes code run slower for no reason
