That one time High Impact Games were working on a Crash Bandicoot racing game, cancelled it and turned it into a Dreamworks crossover kart racer instead (actual thing that happened btw).

My RAM (or possibly some other part in my computer) looks like it’s dying again so I may not be able to do things at full capacity for a while. Y’all will have to settle for some trad sketches in the meantime until I can fix it

Coyote Time (letting the player jump a bit after they leave the ground) is huge for gamefeel.
Combine with Jump Buffer (executing a jump once they land if they pressed it a bit early) to maximize.
Bonus: spawn the jump particle at the last grounded position to hide the coyote time :)
