I don’t know if people understand how fragile Elon Musk really is. His entire persona was built around being beloved by everyone in the country & being looked at as the savior of humanity. Now that he’s destroyed his standing w/the left & the right has turned on him he will crash out so fucking bad

This is part of why I’ll die on the hill of fanfiction being a perfectly legitimate form of writing in and of itself. It’s not just practice for “the real thing”—it IS the real thing. It’s creative work, creative expression. That it isn’t being done as part of commerce does not mean it’s valueless
I swear. Writing is the only discipline where we make people feel like failures for practising. How many songs does a violinist learn that never wind up in recital? How many studies do painters do? Acting exercises. Tennis for fun.

*Most* recent was looking up side effects for maybe sketchy drugs while looking to map out a character's medical history while worldbuilding; that turned into a several-hour jaunt into the history of human experimentation—which also ended up being relevant research for worldbuilding lol
