"Imagine if I said something racist" doesn't work on several counts. Willoughby has said plenty of racist things, and it's clearly resulted in diddly squat. Her pretense that transphobia is uniquely acceptable in British society is infuriating, given the global reactionary anti-immigrant panic.
So the thing about saying to a South Asian transphobe "Well what if I was racist to you, huh? Imagine that!" is that that is, in fact, pretty fucking racist and you shouldn't do it.

A trans woman was just sentenced to 15 years in prison for defending herself from an attacker. She wanted no part in the fight and witnesses described her actions as self-defense. With right-wing media constantly portraying her as "evil" since the incident, the trial was over before it began.
