sometimes i'm watching a game and the feed is annoyingly 10 or 15 seconds behind and i'll get an alert on my phone that the other team scored and then i have to sit there and wait for it to happen on screen like a helpless time traveler as the awful future they're from comes to pass

summer after this came out, I moved halfway across the world to be with my now-husband. first year there I didn't have a visa, so I was home all day with a radio on.....anyway this song gives me weird nostalgia for a bittersweet time

People have such nostalgia for the name Mike Tyson that no one seems to care he was getting handily beaten by b-level fighters at the end of his career, or that his 2020 fight was a snoozefest that was sad to watch. Wish I'm wrong but he will probably lose to Paul in a depressing spectacle

I understand the anxiety about people coming over from X to deliberately be toxic and awful, but: this place is set up differently, and functions differently, and it’s not just “oh we’re nice here”. it’s that it doesn’t have an algorithm (or monetisation program) that rewards ragebait.
