I hear both transphobes and normal folk talking about Testosterone as a performance enhancing drug and Estrogen as performance decreasing drug, and that's dude centric and not true. T and E are both performance enhancing drugs for sports. They just enhance different aspects.

Getting advent calendars early helps me a ton because I am one lady over here at Skype A Scientist HQ & the more I can ship earlier in the year the less overwhelming November will be (I'll be in Japan most of October for a squid conference!)

Last fall, the First Lego League project was focused on the ocean, so we had a massive number of requests for marine biologists come in to Skype a Scientist. I just got word that this year's theme is archaeology.

Willie Brown Middle School is a San Francisco 6-8 in the Bayview District. For the entire ‘24-‘25 school year, I have been driving the 44 O’Shaughnessy bus that stops there right after school gets out. That trip has been the busiest and most challenging part of my working day.
