Had an extraordinary afternoon at the Theatre Royal watching Psychopath Night with @jonronson.bsky.social and guests. Featuring some mind-blowing true stories that had the audience gasping in disbelief. My reading list now has a few additions.

Excited to find a little typo (Introducing MRS Collins): my predictive text is always showing me up! Great recommendation, I'll be asking for this book for Christmas:)
If you love Jane Austen, you’ll hugely enjoy Rachel Parris’s new novel Introducing Mr Collins — few people know Austen, or comedy, better than Rachel (a founding member of the hilarious Austentatious improv troupe)
See what people are saying about Introducing Mrs Collins… and then order it!! Signed and dedicated, if you like! Perfect Christmas present for the book-lover in your life! backstory.london/products/int...

I find it odd that the BBC isn't considered by Government to be part of the UK's Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).

It's under attack by a foreigner and Starmer's UK Government is doing nothing to defend it. Perhaps Starmer should make it CNI.

Just catching up on the first episode of David Olusoga's #Empire. A fascinating, sobering watch. As one of the interviewees says, "I'm not asking you to be ashamed of it, but I am asking you to be aware of it." Interesting to see a little focus on Bath too.
Empire with David Olusoga - Series 1: Episode 1
David Olusoga tells the story of the British Empire, from its origins under Elizabeth I to the establishment of colonies in America, the Caribbean and India.

Ed Davey, once again, miles ahead of our Government. Between him and Polanski, I'd be very concerned if I was Labour. Often these two are saying what it should be saying, but for reasons not entirely obvious, it is not.
I’ve written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage urging them to condemn Donald Trump’s attack on the BBC.

The BBC belongs to Britain, not Trump. We must defend it together.

Whatever our politics, we can all agree that giving leading politicians like Nigel Farage hours of free primetime exposure on major news channels is bad for democracy.

News should hold power to account – not give it a platform.
