The first thing that pops into my head whenever anyone asks this kind of thing: The Arm & Hammer brand had been around for decades before Armand Hammer became one of its owners.
Man, everything is so bleak, anyone got a fun fact or little bit of trivia they want to share

Much about the world is awful but a bright spot in the last year has been this little demon living with us.

I can’t judge Pluribus solely by its first episode, but the fact that huge chunks of it unfold without dialogue makes it a nice middle finger to the Netflix “second screen show” mindset.

In the opening of Ken Russell’s “The Devils” —set in the court of King Louis XIV —there’s an off-screen character who says something like “I did pale beside the radiance of his majesty.”

I think about that a lot these days.
Trump: My pollsters said, 'sir, if George Washington and Abraham Lincoln came back from the dead and they aligned and they went for the president, vice president as a combination, you'd be beating them by 25 points.'

It’s often a fear of failure, mostly economic failure. The same stuff that keeps most of us up at night, only with, say, demons.

Q4 is up. Ten minutes to outro and the promo: I am still working my way through. You're all wonderful busy bees today and I adore you!
This one is a little easier. No archetypes!

I’ve spent my life feeling like an alien in groups of men and find it hard to write very MASCULINE men in a sympathetic light. They tend to be boors or outright monsters in my stories.

Q3. I'm doing what I can to answer everyone, and repost, so bear with me. So I don't keep you waiting, I'll throw out 3. Interpret this one how you like. I know many queer folks like me do not align masculinity with man shaped. And with horror, we love to subvert our tales.

God, I don't even know. I'm just a guy who likes monsters and stories where people see/find weird stuff. I am not an insightful person. I'll let people who've been to writers workshops deal with this stuff.

#HorrorWritersChat
Well then, #HorrorWritersChat. What's an archetype anyway? I jest. We're all writers here... after alllllllll....

Hi...Tom Coombe here, Pennsylvania-based author of horror stories. Some of those stories feature men, and I don't know if any of them share one quality. It depends on the character. Sorry for the unhelpful answer.

Here we go, #HorrorWritersChat!

Q1 has arrived. It's international men's day today, and I thought actually that's a good topic. Not the easiest one to build questions around, either. So if I do not hit the mark I am sure you will forgive me.
As usual, no links, no pitches, not till the end.

Coincidentally, it's also the Feast of St. Craig, patron saint of insecurities.
Today is International Men’s Day.

Jumping on the "my 5 favorite Scorcese movies" bandwagon with:

1. Goodfellas
2. Taxi Driver
3. Casino
4. Mean Streets
5. After Hours
(In no particular order)

GOODFELLAS
THE AVIATOR
SILENCE
AFTER HOURS
THE AGE OF INNOCENCE
oh okay.

THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST
SILENCE
TAXI DRIVER
CASINO
MEAN STREETS

(those last two have come on really strong for me these last few years)

I hate this so goddamned much. This whole insular media world. I see all the time with my job, Bloomberg News/Financial Times house style that giving off the same sort of vibe as a mob guy saying "a friend of ours."
