Labour has 4 councillors. How did they have control of the council? Because the Tories with 7 now 6 backed them. The SNP now have 10 and are supported by 1 independent councillor.

Isn't it odd* how unionists still insist that the throwaway comment 'once in a generation opportunity' was some king of contract that must be abided by, but BetterTogether's Vow and actual promise of a federal UK within 2 years can be ignored.

What I'd love to see: a synchronised schedule of democratic campaigns for Scottish independence, Welsh independence and Irish unification, with a vote held for each on the same day. UK corporate media would go spare, & crumbling UK state might collapse under the strain of fighting on three fronts.
