My husband put Fox News on the hotel TV so we can hate watch it. I was annoyed at first but this shit is hilarious. “Rapper Nicki Minaj tweeted her thanks to President Trump,” one anchor breathlessly reports.

I did have a second where I was like, honestly, this could be true. There could be a couple of guys somewhere who specialize in dental realism. There could be a Dental Realism Studies journal with a circulation of 11.

a wacky idea i unironically believe is that dead suburban shopping malls should all be turned into small public commuter colleges. most non-anchor stores are a decent size to be a classroom, parking/road access is already there, you even have a food court
America's special problem is that we built our post-war society entirely around shopping, and then we moved the shopping online.

I spent a few weeks in Takoma Park this summer staying with friends in between apartments and the town is super liberal in a feisty sort of way. The residents are also going to be vocally displeased.
Takoma Park, Md is Rep Jamie Raskin’s district. Looking forward to him doing something about this incursion. Tacoma Park, Md starts across the street from Tacoma Park, DC. If they were a mile into Md. that is quite a distance.

On Amtrak again. There is a British family with a real vacation vibe and several large suitcases traveling from NYC to Albany for some reason; I’m curious as to why but I’m too afraid to become That Passenger after what I’ve endured
I girlbossed too close to the sun with this thread because I’m on my return Amtrak to NYC and a sweaty government lawyer named Esteban just sat next to me, took off his shoes, and asked me if I was listening to anything good on my headphones
the two weirdo yappers on this Amtrak train have found each other. introduced themselves with their full names. now reminiscing about the lakes they’ve lived by and their grandfathers. it’s beautiful. and now none of us need to talk to them
