I wrote this one in a hurry, right after the Justice Department moved to drop Eric Adams' case. The central thesis — that Trump was basically trying to decriminalize corruption — might've seemed like a stretch in the moment. I think it's been proven out.

Remember the big US-Russia prisoner swap? Turns out Putin brought home in that deal someone terribly important to the Kremlin - someone no one wanted to talk much about. He was behind one of the biggest insider trading cases of all time. I went long on his case.

Kudos to Pope Leo!

Cardinal Dolan, a MAGA supporter, submitted his retirement resignation letter, customary when a Cardinal turns 75.

Often, Popes let a Cardinal stay.

Pope Leo had his replacement ready to go.

If the Catholic Church can do this....so can Congress.
Why is Cardinal Dolan resigning? What to know as Pope Leo taps Illinois bishop to replace him
News of Cardinal Timothy Dolan's replacement marked one of the most important appointments from Pope Leo XIV so far, but why did Dolan resign from his position and what sparked the change?

Attacks on feminism are similar to attacks on vaccines. We begin to take for granted a world where women have rights and most children live to see adulthood, and then, over time, we begin to forget, neglect, and (now) reject the movements and innovations that brought us here.
Until the mid-1970’s, a man could not be convicted of rape in New York State based solely on the testimony of the woman he raped. A second witness was required because the female rape victim was deemed unreliable.

Feminism has not failed women.
