NEW: The First Circuit has denied the Trump Admin’s motion to stay in our SNAP case. This means that full benefits should be paid after the SCOTUS stay expires. The court does not mince words about what the government has done here. Congrats to our clients, co-counsel, and @democracyforward.org.

BREAKING: Our team @democracyforward.org and co-counsel just WON another court order to secure #SNAP. Judge finds Trump admin didn’t comply with prior order. FULL PAYMENTS must be paid across nation by tomorrow.

President Trump’s political games are delaying people’s ability to access essential nutrition. But our team is working around the clock – and is back in court today – to demand accountability.

Thank you, @msnbc.com's @anacabrera.bsky.social, for covering our efforts.

We should not need to go to court to force the Trump-Vance administration to provide food that all people are entitled to in this country.

But here we are, back in court to demand that the administration acts consistent with the judge’s order.
We’re back in court today because President Trump is refusing to fully fund SNAP benefits.

We’re filing a motion asking the court to force the administration to comply with their order and ensure 42 million people won’t go hungry.
November 5, 2025 at 10:11 PM
This is immoral. See you in court.

It shouldn’t take a court order to force our President to provide essential nutrition that Congress has made clear needs to be provided.

But since that is what it takes, we will continue to use the courts to protect the rights of people.
Because of the court order our team secured on Friday, the Trump-Vance administration is being forced to pay SNAP benefits from contingency funds.

Yet, even after losing in court, they are back today trying to deprive people of their full benefits under SNAP.

Perryman on SNAP Ruling: The good news is that people and communities stepped forward. Federal judges interpreted the law, and now people can breathe a sigh of relief—not because of the White House or Republicans in Congress, but because of the bravery of our clients and the tenacity of our lawyers.

If the Trump admin appeals this order, it will show all of America that it is doubling down on depriving 40+ million people of food. We have secured this win for the American people, SNAP will be available, and we will continue to block efforts to play politics w people’s lives @democracyforward.org

The Trump-Vance admin’s outright refusal to fund SNAP for millions, including children & senior citizens, is immoral & unlawful. Turning hunger into a political weapon is not governing – it’s cruelty.

So we sued on behalf of the broadest coalition yet.

Our team just secured another court order blocking President Trump’s unlawful attempts to fire civil servants during the government shutdown.

This is a major blow to the Trump-Vance admin’s attempts to make the Project 2025 playbook a reality.

The Trump-Vance admin's is using people’s basic needs as pawns. This is unlawful and immoral.

President Trump, we'll see you in court.
SNAP provides critical food assistance to more than 42 million people, including children, seniors, and veterans, and it will run out of funds on November 1st.

When a government secretly pulls funding from programs that prevent gun violence, support survivors of violence, and strengthen public safety, it’s not efficiency — it’s an abuse of power.

The public deserves to know the truth, and we will use every legal tool available to get it.
We’re suing the DOJ and FBI for records on DOGE’s alleged role in the abrupt cancellation of public safety grants.

If DOGE bypassed the DOJ’s review process to cancel $800M in grants for violence prevention, crime victim services, and community safety programs, the public deserves to know.

It’s not enough that President Trump bullied federal prosecutors to drop multiple cases against him despite significant evidence, now, he’s concocted a scheme where he would leave taxpayers with a bill to pay for them.

Americans are struggling to make ends meet.
