According to a report from the Joint Economic Committee, Illinois households are facing a 15.2% increase in electricity costs this year. President Trump has always put the interest of energy producers over energy consumers, and every American is paying the price. www.jec.senate.gov/public/_cach...

No one should fear showing up to work and no child should ever have to witness this downright evil act. I continue to advocate for the Protecting Sensitive Locations Act to ensure our schools and child care centers remain safe spaces and free from this kind of cruelty.

President Trump’s decision to only partially fund SNAP is cruel.

Instead of using the full USDA contingency fund, President Trump has chosen to starve children and families across the country.

For the first time in American history, SNAP funding will lapse on November 1. Nearly 2 million Illinoisans will have their food assistance benefits ripped away. This number includes veterans, children, and families.

President Trump is choosing to let Americans starve.
