The Trump Administration is attacking your right to breathe clean air. The science is clear. Climate change is an existential threat to our species. Limiting our ability to regulate pollution serves only to doom the only planet we have to pass on to our children.

What to Know About the E.P.A.’s Big Attack on Climate Regulation
The Trump administration has repealed the scientific determination that underpins the government’s legal authority to combat climate change.

I always say that IL-06 is home to the most talented individuals, and hearing from Olympian speed skater Sarah Warren was proof of that. Her story, her grit, and her commitment to representing the district show exactly what makes our community so special.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau exists to protect Americans. The Trump Administration’s efforts to sideline the agency hurts families and their pocketbooks.

As families across the U.S. face rising housing costs, I was proud to help pass the Housing for the 21st Century Act, a bipartisan bill to make homeownership more attainable for Americans. This bill represents an important first step toward addressing our nation’s affordable housing crisis.

Our government should be more representative of the American people. In a recent Vox interview, I talked about my bill to increase the size of the House, and what we can do to make sure every community has a real voice in Congress.

The House of Representatives is too small. Here is one way to fix it.
For more than a century, the size of the House of Representatives has been frozen at 435 seats; in that same period, the US population has tripled. This means that today, the average representative…

The Trump Administration claims the Treasury has authority over Venezuelan assets.

I asked Treasury Secretary Bessent directly what grants him this authority.

He seemed to have no idea that he controlled these assets, let alone the authority behind them.

I voted against the funding package considered by the House today because we must prevent the further murder of Americans, ensure due process, and address the catastrophic failures by Kristi Noem and the Department of Homeland Security.

Today and every day, we commit to telling the full story of the American journey. I'm proud to recognize this month as Black History Month and reflect on the resilient history that defines our nation. buff.ly/nWjtXgw

This is brazenly corrupt. A foreign country bought a $500 million stake in a company owned by the president. The president then provided that country with access to highly coveted AI chips, despite national security concerns.

We have to keep up the pressure. That is how we are compelling the release of the Epstein Files. That is how we saw some House Republicans support the extension of ACA tax credits. And it is how we will protect our democracy and our values.

NEWS: I’m leading House Democrats in warning 21 oil companies about the serious legal and financial risks of any transaction or investment based on the Trump Administration’s claimed authority to control Venezuelan oil assets.

Earlier this month, I was asked at my town hall: What can be done about a judicial system that has lost public trust? There are actions Congress can take right now to hold the Supreme Court accountable. We must use every constitutionally granted power to check them when they fail the American people.

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the memory of the 6 million Jews and the millions of others murdered during the Holocaust. We must confront antisemitism & all forms of hatred & bigoted violence. We can never forget this history and must reject & defeat any efforts to repeat it.
