Honestly though, for the most part it was just really boring. So many characters and themes and none of them are engaging.

Potential hot take, but....am I the only one who doesn't like the way music is used in #Alien:Earth? I just....don't really get what they're going for, especially with the contemporary samples like Metallica, which just kinda....confuse me. Always takes me out of the scene.

What strikes me as particularly weird about the "dramatic murderer" strain of true crime is that there are hundreds of missing persons and unidentified/unsolved murders that would make for compelling stories *and* draw attention to useful cases.
Instead we get "sexy skin lampshade guy".

I stand by my opinion that most true crime is exploitative.
We don't need hyper stylized docs about serial murderers. The families of the victims don't need it. The VICTIMS deserve more respect.
There are plenty of academic, and far more professional, sources of information if people are curious.

Minnesota is my birth state. I only lived there as a baby, but my parents always thought of themselves as Minnesotans first and foremost.
It strikes me that the state offered a decent and qualified man for Vice President, and was rewarded by violence and hatred from the rest of this country. /1

There are only a few things left that can truly make me rabid with rage and disgust. The Taliban is one of them. Siding with them is unconscionable. That Starmer would even consider it means he and his party deserve nothing but misery and failure.
