More important to me than my identity, I am also the Vice President of the NewsGuild of New York, and targeting me with a blatantly retaliatory termination like this feels like an egregious shot against our union and against media workers as a whole.

update: court of administrative hearings determined shelley madore violated MN election law by falsely implying DFL endorsement in ads. state DFL told her it was fine, but inter party rules don't supersede law. plus info on her attorney jordan hagert's connections

Legitimately mad about this. Lots of people in Ward 10 want to vote for the candidate who support alternative transportation. Lydia Millard should stop lying to voters about being a bike advocate. She has very explicitly campaigned against bike, pedestrian, and transit infrastructure.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Sure seems like CA needs a Stand Your Ground law. A reasonable person could be afraid of grievous harm from a masked man impersonating an LEO in this situation. They ought to be able to defend themselves.
