No surprise to us!

Our banks are highly regulated, well-capitalized, and have a resilient system with low non-performing loans as well as strong oversight.

This is why we want nothing to do with Trump’s push to allow more American banks in Canada. We have a reputation to uphold.

So Danielle Smith wants to take over policing in Alberta because she needs the police to get to Albertans on time...

But she can't even manage making sure that POLICE get an AMBULANCE on time with the EMS service she already runs?!?

This is horrifying.

ICYMI: Albertans spoke—and we didn't care what they said!

This summer, we used heavily biased push-poll surveys and town halls to manipulate Albertans into agreeing with our recommendations for the direction we want to take Alberta.

Unless I missed it somewhere, I don't see any details about the Alberta Next survey methodology.

This leaves me with a lot of questions.
I started reviewing the Alberta Next report by looking at their polling results.

The numbers in the sample table don't add up.

Can anyone make it make sense?

If not, I'm not sure how we take the analysis seriously.

I wouldn't call it a great debate, necessarily.

But only because @trevortombe.bsky.social 's contribution was so overpowering.

Every day, I get letters demanding that the federal govt or the GG or the LG “do something” to change or save Alberta. But the only people who can “fix” Alberta are Albertans. There is no magic constitutional genie. The responsibility is on all of us.
The UCP has made 2025 one of the darkest years for Alberta’s democracy.

Albertans can turn on the lights in 2026.

By simply being Albertan.

Let me explain. 🧵 open.substack.com/pub/drjaredw...

Smith finally said it out loud...

She doesn't believe that government should be providing any services to Albertans, she believes that private companies should be used universally to provide services.

Faith groups should take care of the vulnerable.
