I was there. It was an appalling mess. We took an hr to get in (we live 3 miles away). Then there were only 5 food stalls for 1000s of ppl so spent an hour & half queuing for food.Fireworks were abt 45 mins late. Then bedlam in exit which took another hour. Cost £15/head to queue for around 3.5 hrs.

One of the reasons rail electrification is so expensive in this country is because, wait for it, we do it in bits and wait for years before restarting, and have never had a rolling programme of electrification.
