Absolutely no way to read this and not conclude that the Department of Justice has been deeply corrupted. And this is from a time when career lawyers were in place, pushing back against illegality. With firings and resignations, the politicization will just get worse.

When a killer is in the act of murdering 14 million innocent human beings, you don’t go “well, the killer has a point.”

Unless you’re a heartless ghoul.
Fourteen million people are likely going to die as a result of USAID being destroyed.

This is not theoretical or a thought experiment - these are human lives that are being thoughtlessly snuffed out.
