BIG UPDATE: our fight to keep public lands in public hands continues!
Leader Jeffries said it best: enough is enough.

Gun violence is the leading cause of death for children in the United States.

We are closely monitoring the ongoing situation near Calle Mejía in Santa Fe. Law enforcement has advised residents in the affected area to remain indoors while the situation is under investigation. This includes our Santa Fe office, which is temporarily closed and under lockdown at this time.

Roberto Mondragón was a beloved cultural figure in New Mexico whose voice, music, and lifelong work helped keep our traditions alive. He brought his deep voice and his lyrical guitar into my childhood home and school.

Every American has seen the terror ICE has unleashed in our streets and on our neighbors.

Today, we saw an ICE agent kill an American citizen. Then, Secretary Noem immediately lied about the reasoning. You can’t lie about what we can see with our own eyes.

Trump’s priorities are all wrong, but Republicans in Congress aren’t any better.

He’s invading Venezuela and Republicans are brining up bills about shower head water efficiency standards.

You can’t make this stuff up.

5 years ago, a violent mob attacked law enforcement, sending 140 officers to the hospital. Five officers died.

Since then, Trump pardoned the offenders and not a single Republican has cosponsored the resolution condemning those pardons.

114 years ago, today, New Mexico became the 47th state of the Union.

Our diversity and culture only makes this country stronger.

Feliz cumpleaños Nuevo Mexico!

Trump’s priorities are all wrong.

Americans don’t want a military intervention in a foreign country, we want affordable healthcare and housing.

And Trump’s justifications are a lie to the American people.

2025 brought tough battles to protect what matters most.

Despite it all, we secured millions for New Mexicans and passed RECA—finally delivering justice for radiation exposure survivors.

I’m ready to keep fighting for the bright future Americans deserve.

We work for the people.

This year, our office supported constituents across the district in big and small ways.

Here are some of their stories:

Feliz Navidad, Nuevo México!

On this Christmas Day, I’m wishing you peace, love, and moments of gratitude with those you hold close. May the spirit of this season carry us into the new year with hope.

Only 1 day until Christmas. Unfortunately, Trump’s bad economics left America’s stocking filled with coal.

2 days away from Christmas and the Republican Advent Calendar delivers: affordable healthcare delayed. Again.
December 24, 2025 at 1:32 AM
3 days until Christmas. Not a white Christmas — thanks to Republicans keeping our waters dirty.

My office will be closed for the holidays but we will be checking our voicemail every day.

With 4 days until Christmas, Republicans are playing the Grinch—making energy costs higher and making it harder for families to keep the lights on.
December 21, 2025 at 9:10 PM
On the fifth day of Christmas, Republicans made sure Trump could drag us into more foreign wars.
December 20, 2025 at 9:32 PM
6 days until Christmas. Let’s see what Republicans have been up to in Congress instead of lowering costs for Americans.

"Republicans should focus on making life more affordable for Americans, not giving away more land. Not making those big int'l companies even richer."

@fernandez.house.gov called out the MRCA as a giveaway to big foreign mining companies that lets polluters dump mine waste on our public lands 👇

Here’s how we forced a vote to save the ACA tax credits while we’re in the minority.
December 18, 2025 at 7:54 PM
Speaker Johnson, let us vote to save the ACA tax credits. Now.

We ❤️ milk.

For 13 years, kids couldn’t have whole or 2% milk at school.

Luckily for our kids, our dairy farmers and Santa, the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act has officially passed the House and Senate!
