It's getting to the point where I'm no fun any more. I am sorry.

Dad / professional geek / theater kid / New York sports fan.

“Evil begins when you begin to treat people as things.”

If I write a letter to the Abu Dhabi Convention and Visitors Bureau and promise I will never, ever experience their city -- do you suppose they'll stop showing me that goddamned commercial?

Watching sports on a streaming service will always suck until it's possible to flip channels during the commercials.

(I am about 90% convinced that "flipping channels is a pain in the ass" is one of the primary reasons the leagues all want to move to streaming.)

I really hope the ghost of Douglas Adams is haunting the shit out of Elon's place.
Good news everybody: Grokipedia will contain all knowledge about the universe and will be distributed periodically throughout the solar system

How long do you think it will take for Target management to figure this out?

Because the answer is, like, RIGHT THERE.

With each day that passes, Nancy Mace looks more like Lola in the last verse of Copacabana.

Sustained evil really ages you, huh?
Nancy Mace: "You can see in the Epstein emails that he's clearly targeting President Trump as retribution for him being a good man ... he's a good man who protects women. That's what real men do."

Clear goaltend.

College basketball fans:

If you ever have the opportunity, go see a game at Fordham's Rose Hill Gym.

Tiny building by Division I standards. Not a bad seat in the place. Great vibes.

Used to watch Grey's Anatomy with my wife. I'd joke that Dr. Bailey was a far more compelling character and the show should be named for her.

(This is one of the reasons I'm no longer invited to watch.)

Anyway - are we sure about the "Epstein" files?

Because Trump seems to be the real lead.

Taking my son to a college basketball game this afternoon: my school vs. his.

My school is Division I. His is Division III.

In theory mine should win by about 40.

Assuming it works out as expected, how much mockery is appropriate here?

The Coors Light "coldest" campaign might be the dumbest one ever.

Are we really still attempting to sell people on the idea that this beer is inherently colder than any other?

(Also: the Coors family founded the Heritage Foundation so fuck their terrible beer forever.)

What would the Jets' record be right now if they had decided to make Winston their bridge quarterback instead of Fields?

Anybody ever use Vivid Seats?

This morning I bought two tickets for a college basketball game - tip-off is at 4pm.

Haven't received the tickets yet.

Is this how it usually works? You just have to wait and hope they get sent in time?

The framing of this by CNN implies she's talking about bad candidates, but she isn't. She's saying this country hates women. People say look at Mexico or Germany, they elected women. Yes. Because they, as a country, don't hate women nearly as much as we do. Fucked up shit. She's not lying.

The real shock here is a member of the Trump administration was flying commercial.
OMG! I just got off the plane in Asheville and RFK Jr. Was boarding and someone passed by him and said “quack”

Hey @newyorksun.bsky.social why aren’t you posting this ad campaign here?
November 15, 2025 at 3:54 PM
Again, this is the same Alan Dershowitz that @newyorksun.bsky.social was featuring in their marketing as recently as last week.
Alan Dershowitz is one of those claiming Epstein was not a pedophile because he pleaded guilty to one count of having sex for money with a 17-year-and-10-month-old person. "That’s not a pedophile." See this important response from Julia Brown, the brave reporter who broke the news on this

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Was explaining the “even a broken clock…” metaphor to my kid yesterday.

Of course he didn’t get it because he’s not used to clocks with hands.

Then he says, “so she’s right even though she’s still an asshole.”

That’s @newyorksun.bsky.social columnist “Dersh” right?

The one the @newyorksun.bsky.social features in their marketing?

Just checking.

Seems to me the most likely scenario is five or six of these dipshits trying to launch their own factions, no?
Do wonder if and when a Vance faction tries to convince the rest of the GOP to jettison Trump and stop the bleeding.
