The contempt they have for disabled children is rooted in a mistaken belief that there aren't too many of them.

Estimates show that between 1-in-8 and 1-in-5 students in America have some kind of learning disability.

There are an awful lot of SPED families out here, and we will *fight* this shit.
Jessica: When I hear Republicans out there talking about their plan for education in America, I don't hear them talking about making sure disabled kids have access to a public education.

Greg: Because we're against it.

when Elon Musk started recruiting for DOGE last November, he said the work would be “tedious” and “compensation is zero"

now it turns out some DOGE operatives are earning six-figure salaries, one as high as $195,200, as much as a civil servant can legally make

Some DOGE Staffers Are Drawing Six-Figure Government Salaries
Engineers and executives at the so-called Department of Government Efficiency are drawing healthy taxpayer-funded salaries—sometimes from the very agencies they are cutting.

No one “works hard” enough to earn this kind of money. And these numbers are just peanuts compared to billionaires.

This is called fraudulent accounting, and it’s what Trump was found criminally guilty of by a New York court.

The Trump administration may exclude government spending from GDP, obscuring the impact of DOGE cuts
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick says he could take government spending out of his agency's reports on gross domestic product.

I’m not saying that GOP lawmakers have an elaborate plan to ban abortion in Kansas. But if they did, they’d be doing what they’re doing now.

I've said it before and will say it again -- the Trump administration is not acting like one that fears democratic accountability next year or in 2028. Draw your own conclusions.
it's still just striking to me that we're five weeks into this, and neither trump nor musk are offering up any treats, to anyone. everything is bad news. everything makes life harder. the only thing they're offering is a tax cut for *extremely* wealthy people, at the expense of *everyone* else.

Trump wants to gut NOAA the people who literally warn us about hurricanes, tornadoes, and disasters

because their climate research makes Big Oil uncomfortable.

Imagine dismantling public safety just to protect corporate profits.

This isn’t just reckless — it’s dangerous.

Setting the record straight. Per Heather Long, economic reporter for the Washington Post:
“Federal workers aren't lazy. Quite the opposite.
Federal workers put in more hours a week than anyone except military and self-employed.
Federal workers take fewer days off than almost any other workers.”

Here it is in a nutshell:

1. Trump is an authoritarian.
2. With the GOP controlling Congress, courts are key to protecting democracy.
3. So far, courts are doing a good job on #2.
4. GOP will next attack election rules like they did in 2021.

Don't let the cynics convince you not to fight. FIGHT!
