Probably dreaming of concerts, camping, or snowboarding, but too busy and tired to do as much of any of them as I'd like.
Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar.

This thread was the brain cleanse I needed tonight
What is the quintessential Onion headline? The strong contender that just randomly popped in my mind is "Hank Williams Jr. Honored by Institute For Football Preparedness"

There was a tweet some years back that was like "Being a Democrat is like going to a concert where the band is telling everyone to calm down the whole time" and I think about it a lot
For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

Jeffries says not to expect Democrats to pursue Hegseth impeachment over boat strikes
"Republicans will never allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor," he said.

This is the everything with the generative AI bullshit... they are bullshit machines. One of the most freeing lessons I've learned in my career, and in life, is that "I don't know" is an acceptable answer to a question.

Having a fun music night with my kid. First up Johnny Fritz at DC9, and then heading across the street to catch Wednesday playing a late show at 9:30 Club.

I spent a good chunk of my career in vaccine development, and this just makes me so sad and angry.
CDC has overhauled its website to assert that “the claim ‘vaccines do not cause autism’ is not an evidence-based claim”

What the fuck.
The U.S. government is now inarguably spreading medical disinformation that is going to kill babies preferentially.

Period.

This is an INTOLERABLE. UNPRECEDENTED. DANGEROUS. ATTACK. ON ALL OF US.

Umm... We could have had a Muppet Knives Out and you said 'No'?!
Am I a hypocrite for wanting this after giving a hard no to muppet knives out
Okay, I'm making my case for the only Muppet I want to see on Broadway right now...

THREAD.

A couple of years ago I went on a pilgrimage to the derelict moorland cottage where a vegetarian ex-butcher once lived with a bull he had adopted, named Scrunch.

You will find the story in the alt text...

I used to have friends that made sure I went outside when aurora were going, now that I'm old and live in the Mid-Atlantic where they're quite rare, no one says shit. I guess we're probably all asleep now, but still.

I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

I'm a fan of a key fob that I don't have to take out of my pocket, but I'm not sold on the "key" on my phone thing. I recently used a family member's car for a couple weeks with a phone key and I forgot my wallet every time I left the house because I didn't need to grab keys from the drawer.
Ford wants you to stash it in your belt buckle, but there’s absolutely no need to be lugging around a bulky fob. Trouble is, phone-as-a-key tech could be superseded before it even gets going. www.wired.com/story/why-ar...
