My wife does this sometimes with soda water to lower her sugar intake (still a little unhinged), but at least she'd never drink Pepsi.

Even better is when the follow-up is "but I'll find out for you," which is where the problem with gen-AI lies. These machines aren't actually equipped to evaluate information and determine an answer on its merits. They just parrot what the majority of people have already been parroting.
