Went to see the new take on The Running Man with my childhood bestie. We loved the original when we were kids and used to play Running Man outside and we'd fight over who was the best Hunter, etc.
Expectations were low but this modern version: we both loved it! It's a fantastic brain-off movie.

I'm married to a professional illustrator. I've seen the "direction" her clients give her when commissioning art, and most of the time it's so vague as to be nearly useless.
It's so funny to me, then, to see how much effort people put into AI prompts to get slop in return.

Can't speak for the whole world but here in the US the totality of sex-ed is based on the inevitably of the male orgasm. That women can-- let alone should-- also enjoy sex is tantamount to heresy. Better a woman stigmatized than satisfied.
I just watched a comedian talk about how, when he was younger, screwing women in their 20s was fake orgasms but screwing women in their 40s was a skill check and a LESSON because they don't do that shit anymore and... yeah. That tracks.

Holy shit, just learned about the typewriter art of Montserrat Alberich Escardívol, a Catalan typist. Using an extra wide typewriter and 180 color ribbons, she built up elaborate images from simple characters like 'm' and '.' and ';'. Here is her typewritten painting of the Cathedral of Barcelona.

Moved to desktop Linux in earnest for the first time in my life, and honestly - it's finally ready (or it's been ready for a while). All my daily use apps are there. Driver support is perfect and all works out of the box. Every game I care to play is available to play.
