Danish Parliament Deputy Speaker Lars-Christian Brask:

"If I could come with some advice, it would be for the Senate & House to start to take control of political power in America because with this erratic & mad behaviour, you have to ask the question, is the President capable of running the US?"

I can still recall all the tut-tutting from the media when Harris made this argument.
Kamala Harris at her closing campaign rally:

"Donald Trump intends to use the United States Military against American citizens who simply disagree with him."

CBS paid the president of the United States millions in bribe money and now they censor news reports so it does not annoy him. I don’t know how much plainer we can put this.

The military has a duty to refuse unlawful orders, but Congress has a duty to remove from office a president and secretary who would issue such orders. There is something off about members of Congress talking about the former while refusing to say the latter, the part that's actually their job here.

The Declaration of Independence specifies 27 grievances with King George III and Britain.

Donald Trump has committed at least 16 of those same offenses.

“Some officials say U.S. citizens who criticize administration policies could be charged with crimes, based on the notion that they're aiding terrorists and criminals”
This should be the top story in Axios’s morning read. But it isn’t. It’s the FIFTH top story.

Pres. Obama: "I don't think what we just witnessed in terms … tariffs is going to be good for America, but that's a specific policy. I'm more deeply concerned with a federal government that threatens universities if they don't give up students who are exercising their right to free speech."

New from me! I spoke with real federal auditors about what an actual audit looks like. Spoiler: what DOGE is doing is not it.

"In no uncertain terms is this an audit. It’s a heist, stealing a vast amount of government data.”

I really don't understand why pundits don't understand this.

MANY of you have better platforms than any Democrat this side of AOC.

If you spend all your time whining (some more) about Democrats, then you are being just as feckless, you are giving the GOP just as much of a pass, as the Dems are.

This is genuinely an important article. The two main lessons from Hungary appear to be:

DO NOT WAIT

DO NOT UNDERREACT

Authoritarians like Orban and Trump rely on opposition being unwilling to believe that what is happening is actually happening. That’s their window.
