The Daily Mail has been relentlessly attacking the BBC over the editing of Trump quotes in a documentary and look:

It completely fabricated a quote from a BBC presenter. Robinson should sue them for, ooh, at least $2 billion dollars as it’s worse than what they accused the BBC of.

Just got woken up at 3am by a legitimately scary earthquake and realised that I have terrible earthquake instincts - went running to my kid's bedroom when I should be rolling under the nearest bit of furniture

Props to whoever is writing these "Cloud+" phishing emails, they've been running rings around Gmail's spam filters for a good few weeks now

Annoying to get an email saying that Mozilla is shutting down Pocket. I'm sure it's extremely niche by now but it's been my main app for long reads for years & years. Mozilla has been making it worse since they acquired it though so I guess it's not a huge surprise. Time to look for alternatives

Mine was that the BBC once had ad breaks in their TV shows and had only stopped them when I was ~5. I got very indignant with my parents about this
“Bizarre things you firmly believed when a kid” is one of my favorite genres and I firmly believe we all have excellent examples if we can remember them

Always partial to a bit of ambient acid - it turns out that the 303 is fine with leaving its drum machine friends behind and heading out on its own from time to time.
Here's today's ambient acid tip, Transmission III by No Moon: craigieknowes.bandcamp.com/track/transm...

Went for a run on Sunday and had a nasty fall after tripping on some uneven paving stones. Continued running, eventually came back along that street, and fell again in the exact same place. Not my best moment tbh

A mix I listen to a lot on SC has a track near the end that just kills the energy and snaps me out of the zone. In a real club, the DJ would get feedback from people heading to the bar (or chucking things) but what's the digital equivalent? Leave a comment saying "this was a bad choice, DJ"?

Losing my mind trying to track down a Lee Perry track which I thought was on Super Ape but isn't.
Similar atmosphere to that album, slow and slightly marauding bassline, and the only vocals are the occasional booming moan from a jungle animal (similar to the sound in Children Crying).
Any ideas?

Apparently last night I killed the "friends we made along the way" meme by using it in a conversation with my teenage kid. Felt like Grandpa Simpson when trying to explain how far back it goes.

Zelensky is a wartime leader watching his people suffer and die under Russian attacks every day. To be lectured and lied to by Trump and Vance, as they defend the war criminal dictator committing these atrocities, is unimaginable agony. An everlasting shame for America.
Trump has not uttered a critical word about Putin but he and his VP publicly belittled the leader of the nation Putin invaded.
