It's weird to not only have lived through an information revolution but also now living through its undoing, all within less than a generation.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

Oh is woke back? Has it risen from the dead? Did the people rise like lions after slumber in unvanquishable number? Is the old world dying? Is the new world struggling to be born? Babe, wake up, now is the time of monsters.

Listen, in light of Platner - I’m advocating that white dudes running for political office have to do at least one hot tub interview with Zach Galifianakis or if he’s not available that guy from the hot take train interviews.

@govpritzker.illinois.gov talks big when it comes to stopping Trumps overreach but can’t seem to rein in his own state police.
Police escalated the situation here in Broadview incredibly quickly. Saw multiple brutal arrests. ISP jabbing protesters with their batons like battering rams.

Here ISP lifts @katmabu.bsky.social by her feet to flip her over a concrete barrier.

WSJ just retracted its report that the shooter’s ammo was engraved with “transgender and anti-fascist ideology.”

It smelled like bullshit from the beginning, and every conservative who ran with it should be shamed into obscurity.

So after two straight days of Republicans saying trans people and the Left did this, threatening full on violence, it turns out the suspect is a politically unaffiliated white dude who was trained to use guns by his Republican law enforcement dad? Do I have that right?

The Wall Street Journal needs to issue a full retraction and apology to the trans community for this. Nothing less will suffice. They put us all in danger and recklessly put out incorrect information.

Ossoff: "There is at some point is going to be a reckoning for all of this. These folks who are working at these private prison companies who are on Kristi Noem's staff right now, they are at some point going to have to testify under oath about what is happening in the facilities they're running."

It is increasingly clear that the majority of federal law enforcement officers do little or no real work, hence having the time and resources to do what they've been doing under Trump.

Whole agencies need to be zeroed out, with employees sued to pay back salaries and benefits wrongly obtained.
"Dunn’s attorney says he tried to turn himself in, but instead, 20 officers came to his home to arrest him."

Just think about that for a minute.
Subway sandwich guy has been released on his own recognizance.

His attorney argued the felony charge was excessive, and the judge agreed.

Oh, and he’s a USAF veteran.

I don’t want to incentivize billionaires to do the right thing like pampered little Fauntleroys. They should be met with legal demands and statutes that don’t rely on their questionable goodwill. Tax them, force corporations to pay living wages. Wealth hoarding is a societal and moral failing.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Wow. So he votes to gut Medicaid and throw 17 million people off of their healthcare and then dumps his Medicaid related stock to cover his own ass?

That’s just evil and cruel.
Republican Congressman Bresnahan recently sold his stock in Centene, a Medicaid health care provider. The stock has now fallen 43% since his sale.

His sale seemingly coincides with his vote to advance Trump's budget bill that will kick 17 million Americans off their health care.

Democratic politicians & consultants should spend less time yapping about the effect of random leftist social media posts on their branding, and more time dealing with the Democratic Senator taking a pro-Trump position with a mere 16% popular support then adding, for flair, the language of genocide.
