With no science background people also misinterpret the word “theory”, as in “theory of evolution“. It can never be “proved”, but the evidence is such that it’s accepted as truth.
"...studies have not ruled out..." Is literally the opposite of science. Studies haven't "ruled out" pixies - just shown there is NO EVIDENCE for them - as it should be.

We always assumed AI would be used to trick us all into living in a false parallel reality, but we never considered it might be living in a fantasy world all its own.
I use Claude (an AI) to scan my posts for spelling and grammar errors. On the most recent post (about the East Wing, link below), I got a really amazing addendum.

I thought the US libertarians (read right-wing) wanted *small government*. If girls and women must complete accidental conception or rape, then father's must be identified (if unknown), for child-support. The meddling government should also be supporting this child as well, up to 21 years old.
