remember folks, we cant have gun restrictions because if we do the federal government will occupy our streets, imprison people without due process, ship dissidents to foreign gulags and things of that nature

Just a reminder that if you're working on the HBO Harry Potter show, or the audiobook, or making/buying licensed Harry Potter products, or covering *any* of the previously noted without mentioning JK Rowling's virulent and non-stop transphobia, this is what you're supporting:
The employee asked the girl and her mother if they needed help shopping. That’s it. That’s all. The misinformation, the insinuations (because the facts are inconveniently benign) are EXACTLY what was done to lesbians in the 80s. This is the product of hate and fear, not reality.

My theory is that if we taxed most of these people without telling them and the people they pay to manage their money didn't tell them, they'd never notice.

And if you'd never notice you should be taxed even more.

I never post here and feel weird necroing when I generally only lurk. However, this topic has never left my brain and recently I was reminded of this fact sheet.

This illness is still very real and very much here. Keep protecting yourselves and the most vulnerable around you.

There's going to be so many editorials and single-sentence-paragraph LinkedIn posts about how we could have avoided the recession if we'd all just stopped saying that AI-generated images look like shit.

The NYT, WaPo, LAT, CNN, etc etc have shifted to the right. Fox & the Post et al have always been hard right. Twitter & Meta are controlled by right wingers. On a daily basis, millions of Americans - probably the majority - see nothing but sanitized, accomodationist, right wing coverage of Trump.
the average person isnt paying attention. Most people have no idea whats going on.

I need every cis person that follows me to read this and genuinely think about it for a while, and I need them to understand that this is the explicit goal of this administration.

If you’re trans, you know the stories like it already; spare yourself.
In a new lawsuit filed against Trump by state AGs, a family with a trans kid shares she died by suicide last month citing fears Trump would deny her access to gender-affirming care. "Her parents have expressed fear...that what happened to their daughter does not happen to other children."
