Very interesting nugget in this profile of (now former) Oklahoma Superintendent Ryan Walters' quiet relationship with far-right Texas billionaire Tim Dunn who, per sources, changed Walters "from loving schoolteacher to rightwing radical."

Trump vs. US was the final straw imo. You cannot read that ruling and continue believing they have legitimacy. It is not only against the plain text of the constitution, it is anathema to the national ethos. It is offensively, insultingly un-American and they ceded legitimacy by committing that sin.

THE CHICKENS ARE FINALLY COMING HOME TO ROOST

Ryan Walters is out & the investigation floodgates just opened. The Oklahoma AG launched a full audit of Walters’ entire tenure as Superintendent, and it’s about damn time.

Also the education dept website’s being scrubbed of his culture-war nonsense.

Only an administration intent on committing war crimes in the present and future would stoop to calling Wounded Knee a "battle" rather than what it truly was: a massacre of over 250 Lakotas, mainly women, children, and the elderly. 1/

Seriously, y'all. Were it not for a lone lawyer literally banging on the airport doors, these kids would've been stolen. Were it not for Judge Sparkle taking immediate action at 3am on a holiday weekend, they'd have gotten away with it.

It didn't take a hero to do the right thing. Just a person.
A lawyer on the ground on Sunday morning saw just how close things were, and how the flights were only stopped because a federal judge moved at light speed to halt the Trump admin's illegal operation.

She saw the plane begin to taxi to take off, only to turn around at the last second and come back.

the line was crossed twice, once when the TikTok ban, a law passed by Congress and signed by the president, was simply ignored and everyone let him do it, and a second time when doge seized treasury and seized direct control of Congressional spending over Congress. other lines small by comparison
The precise moment when and where in recent weeks America crossed that invisible line from democracy into authoritarianism can and will be debated by future historians, but it’s clear that the line itself has been crossed. www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/america-ti...

I just remembered: Half-Life. When you climb up the elevator shaft, theres a headcrab zombie waiting up there. I walked backwards away from it and fell down the elevator shaft.
What was the first video game that scared you?

It doesn't have to be a horror game. Maybe you didn't even play it -- plenty of ads freaked me out as a kid.
